Cibola Lady Raiders end September on a high note

Cibola wins third straight in sweep over Kofa on Wednesday night

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - After starting the season losing their first seven matches, the Cibola Lady Raiders volleyball team is heating up to close out the month of September. On Wednesday night, the Lady Raiders defeated Kofa in straight sets for Cibola's third win in a row.

Rori Hoffmeyer led Cibola in kills and blocks while Kahlei Meza led in attacks.

"The team played scrappy," Kofa head coach Tim Morrison said of his team. "Cibola just played a cleaner match."

Leading the way for Kofa, Dyannah Torres had 18 digs, Kaylah White led the Lady Kings with three kills.

Kofa is back on the road on Friday at Washington while Cibola gets ready to host Gila Ridge on October 3rd.
