Starting the month of September hotter than normal

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today is September 1st and that means today is the first day of Meteorological Fall.

Now we are just 21 days away until the Fall Equinox, which will officially begin September 22nd.

An Excessive Heat Warning stays in effect for Imperial counties until 8 pm Monday.

Dangerous temperatures will extend through our Labor Day weekend for both Yuma and Imperial counties with afternoon highs reaching 110+.

Not only will the next few days be hot it will also be humid.

Dew points start to elevate for the next upcoming days, so expect temperatures to feel even hotter than what they are with a slight increase in rain chances.
