YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - This week's Military Matters spotlights U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. James Secrist, who is an avionics technician for Marine Corps Air Station Yuma.
Cpl. Secrist has been in service for one year and two months, joining the Marine Corps to continue his parents' service.
He inspects and maintains parts of the F-35B Lightning II.

Secrist’s responsibilities consist of installing, inspecting and maintaining components of the F-35B Lightning II which include communications, navigation and electronic countermeasures. He joined the Marine Corps to continue the faithful service of his parents before him and to better himself. What motivates him the most is leading by example and being the best Marine he can be.
