US Customs and Border Protection

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - US Customs and Border Protection says a K-9 team rescued a man after a car crash.

The two-year-old K9 named Bena helped search the scene of the wreck after Wellton Station agents were told of it after 3:30 a.m. on Avenue 18E and County 5th Street.

The man was found in Dome Valley and was disoriented due to his injuries and wandered away from the scene.

Bena tracked the driver through an area of salt cedars about a quarter-mile away from the crash.
