TSA screens more than 2 million for 30 days

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV/ CNN) - U.S. air travel continues to soar with no major meltdowns at U.S. airports over July 4th.

The Transportation Security Administration said it screened more than 11-point-two million people over the holiday weekend.

That's the 30th day in a row in which more than two-million people passed through airport security checkpoints.

Overall, the holiday weekend air travel rush was not nearly as bad as it could have been as short-staffed airlines continue their struggle with flight delays and cancellations.

According to FlightAware, there were more than 22-hundred U.S. flight cancellations Thursday to Sunday.
