Karrin Taylor Robson endorsed by Matt Salmon
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Republican gubernatorial candidate, Karrin Taylor Robson is in Yuma today, speaking exclusively to us after being endorsed by Matt Salmon.
Matt Salmon endorsed Karrin Taylor Robson just one day after ending his campaign for Arizona Governor.
“Matt Withdrew from the race earlier this week and then the following day he did endorse me. You know Matt has been a conservative fighter his entire career and I have known him for decades now. He and I are going to work together so that on August 2nd we can declare victory,” said Robson.
This week Robson was also endorsed by the State Troopers Association, the National Troopers Association, the Tempe Police Association and the Firefighters Association.
During her day in Yuma Robson also announced her local endorsements by leaders like Mayor of Yuma Doug Nicholls, Representative Tim Dunn and Supervisor Jonathan Lines, just to name a few.
“I was honored to be able to work with her to be able to deliver a Republican Legislature. I know of her work ethic, I know of her commitment as a native Arizonian, I know that she values what we value here in Arizona,” said Lines.
According to this month’s survey by OH Predictive Insights, Arizona likely GOP voters place Kari Lake in first position at 23 percent with Robson hot on Lake’s heels at 21 percent.
“It was two weeks ago that the public polls had me in a statistical tie with Kari Lake and with all the momentum and endorsements that we’re rolling out, we have every reason to believe that we will be victorious on August 2nd," said Robson.
With just over one month until the Arizona Primary Election, Robson and Lake will go head to head.
The winner will face predicted Democratic candidate, Katie Hobbs in the General Election on November 8th.
