It’s “National Marzipan Day”

UNITED STATES (KYMA, KECY)- Sunday January 12 is "National Marzipan Day."

The dough-like mixture is made from ground almonds, sugar or honey and sometimes augmented with almond oil or extract.

Marzipan can be used to fill chocolates or as icing on cakes and also shaped into small figures.
