Nuclear power plant emergency alert sent in error

CANADA (KYMA, KECY)-Residents in Pickering, Ontario received a nuclear power plant emergency alert by mistake.

A message later sent by officials from the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station, clarifying that there was no danger to the public or environment.

The power plant features six nuclear reactors and accounts for about 14 percent of Ontario's electricity needs.
