News 11 Weather Authority: Lesser winds

April 20th, 2022

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Compared to Tuesday's wind event, we've significantly calmed down in the gusts department.

Our wind gusts range has topped off between 22 to 31 miles per hour on this Wednesday with daytime highs decreasing into the high 80s.

Even though the current weather pattern will continue to keep our mercury in check, expect an increase in the winds for both Thursday and Friday.

This will spur a Wind Advisory for the Western part of Imperial County for Thursday.

This will be on of the key factors of a major weather system that will temporarily bring much cooler feelings to our area to close out the workweek.
