YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Our warmth surge has landed the Desert Southwest with daytime high temperatures in the high 90s.

While Yuma maxxed out at 99 degrees, El Centro only officially peaked at 97 degrees.

Expect another similar feeling day for Saturday, before the temps start tumbling by the 2nd half of the weekend and on into next week.

Consequently, our wind gusts could increase in the neighborhood of 25 to 35 miles per hour in that timespan.
