Still heating up temperatures continue to climb

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Today is expected to be the hottest day of the week so far. Our average is 85 degrees and temperatures will be well above normal about 10 to 15 degrees.

Temperatures are on the rise as we will feel the heat and notice warmer conditions as the day goes on. We will see plenty of sunshine and will be breezy with winds of 10 to 20 MPH.

Hot, dry, and windy conditions are expected in portions of the Desert Southwest through the next few days. These are all ingredients needed to spread wildfires. Fire potential is possible so make sure you stay alert and do your part to prevent wildfires.

Temperatures remain warm and near the triple-digit mark again tomorrow. We will also see a few clouds but still plenty of sunshine and conditions staying dry. Our weekend will be warm and breezy before we experience gusty winds and cooler temperatures by the start of next week.
