News 11 Weather Authority: Temperature takeoff

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - An expanding ridge of high pressure has now elevated our temperatures to several degrees above normal for this time of year.

Our daytime highs have clocked in around the mid 90s on this Tuesday and expected to continue rising to about 100 degrees by Friday.

This will be the 1st time we'll hit the triple digit threshold in 2022.

Beyond this, expect a relatively fast mercury decline by next week.
