First Alert Forecast: Intensifying heat

Temperatures in this first full week of April are expected to reach 10 to 15 degrees above our seasonal average

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - High pressure aloft will settle across the area through the rest of the work week. This will result in hot temperatures with widespread middle to upper 90s likely across the lower deserts, from   Tuesday through Saturday. Strong surface high pressure setting up across the Great Basin Region will result in gusty winds across the Colorado River Valley and higher elevations of Arizona on Wednesday and Thursday. Cooler weather likely to return late this weekend into next week.
