April 1 is National One Cent Day

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Friday, April 1 is the time to save pennies because it's National One Cent Day.

The day can also be celebrated by donating to certain trays at the store or buying something small with only pennies.

Buying an expensive item with just pennies may not be a nice way to celebrate with a store clerk.

Abraham Lincoln has been on the penny since 1909.
