Somerton School District now offers free therapy for students, parents, teachers
SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Somerton School District No.11 joined the ParentGuidance.org network to begin free mental health resources for students, guardians and faculty to use in the privacy of their homes.
All resources will be therapist-led, reflective of one's schedule and are available in the privacy of one's own home to ensure the best aid.
“ParentGuidance.org offers a collection of courses about mental health challenges today's children are facing. Each course is designed and delivered by licensed therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health professionals to help parents with their children,” said Anne Brown, president, and CEO of the Cook Center for Human Connections. “Our goal is to have ParentGuidance.org available to every school website in the country so that parents know where to find the information when they need it.”
