Rocks rolls back into win column behind Araiza

Senior captain Isaac Araiza keeps Valley Christian tied up as Yuma Catholic doubles up the Trojans 8-4.

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The Yuma Catholic baseball team scored early and often giving senior hurler Isaac Araiza all the run support he would need. After falling to Northwest Christian on Wednesday, Yuma Catholic made the most of its second home game in a row against the 9-3 Trojans.

Leading 3-1 heading into the bottom of the second inning, DJ Sakay led off the inning and was followed a few batter later by Roberto Romero who crushed a doubled into the right centerfield gap which scored two runs and extended the Shamrocks lead to 6-1. Yuma Catholic never looked back in a 8-4 victory. After a slow start to the season, the Shamrocks are now 5-2 in the month of March.

Yuma Catholic will next play Tonopah Valley on the road on March 24th.
