Bike or no bike, you’re invited to ride to help local vets

The American Legion Riders of Post 19 are inviting the public to join them on Saturday

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Fundraiser Runs are usually organized by members of the Motorcycle Community. The Runs are basically a series of events with the end goal of raising money for a worthy cause.

On Saturday, March 19, the American Legion Riders of Post 19 will be hosting its Helping Our Heroes Run to raise money for local veterans and active-duty service members.

Although these runs are heavily supported by motorcycle groups, they are not exclusive to them. Anyone can take part in a run.

Whether you ride a motorcycle, a car, or just about anything that can keep up. In the end, what matters is that the funds are raised.

If you're interested the Fundraiser Run starts at 9 a.m. at Bobby's Territorial Harley Davidson (Gila Ridge Road, east of Avenue 3E). The run will be comprised of checking in at different locations and ending at the American Legion Post 19 on Virginia Drive.

Lunch will be served at the end of the run courtesy of Texas Roadhouse. There will also be games and raffles at the post. Cost is $20 for singles and $30 for couples.
