A local event thanks to the ‘cream of the crop’
The Yuma Fresh Vegetables Associates holds its annual Labor of Love event
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - They're the backbone of the agriculture industry and a day in the life of a farm laborer is filled with early days and late nights.
With a labor force that's, by all means, scarce the name of the game is to keep them happy taken care of.
In the ag industry, you're only as strong as your workforce.
So, companies like Dole Fresh Vegetables and Royal Packing join forces with the Yuma Fresh Vegetables Association and its 'Labor of Love'.
The 'Labor of Love' program allows companies to show their appreciation for their workers by way of a small appreciation luncheon.
On Monday, March 14, management from both Dole and Royal Packing came together to host a special event. They personally thanked their workers and they then enjoyed a meal together.
Aside from a nice lunch the workers were able to win some prizes and walked away with some nice door prizes.
