Mask mandate for travelers extended another month

(KYMA, KECY) - The mask mandate for travelers in the United States could be sticking around a little longer.

The requirement is currently set to expire on March 18, but federal officials say there will likely be an announcement about extending it for 30 more days.

The mandate is one of the last remaining broad requirements for Americans to wear masks in public places.

It applies to all mass transportation including planes, trains, buses, and hubs like airports.
