Warmer and calm conditions today, gusty winds by tomorrow

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Temperatures will be warmer today as we will be in the upper 70s, and our average is 79 degrees, so we are finally getting back to our seasonable temperatures. It will be a beautiful day to get outside as we will see clear and sunny skies.

Much lighter winds this afternoon than what we felt so far this week, with wind speeds 5 to 10 MPH.

The lighter winds won't last long because come later tonight winds will start to pick up as we will experience stronger winds from 10 to 25 MPH.

Even stronger and gusty winds will occur tomorrow. There is a Wind and Blowing Dust Advisory for Yuma and Southeastern California that will go into effect Thursday (tomorrow) from 4 p.m. (MST) until 10 p.m. (MST) Arizona time, so that will be 3 p.m. (PST) and 9 p.m. (PST) California time. This will be for strong North winds with expected gust up to 40 MPH. Be aware of blowing dust and sand.
