Hightower lifts Winthrop by Gardner-Webb 76-67 in Big South

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Cory Hightower had 20 points as Winthrop defeated Gardner-Webb 76-67 in the semifinals of the Big South Conference Tourney. D’Maurian Williams led the Runnin’ Bulldogs on Saturday with 22 points.
