USC Upstate defeats Charleston Southern in Big South tourney

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Jordan Gainey had 20 points as South Carolina Upstate defeated Charleston Southern 72-62 in the Big South Conference Tourney quarterfinals. Claudell Harris Jr. led the Buccaneers on Friday with 15 points.
