Price of oil reaches record high in over seven years

(KYMA, KECY/CNN) - A barrel of oil reached over $100 on Monday, which is a record high in more than seven years.

As the Russia-Ukraine War escalates, the price of oil goes up by at least 3.5%, which is a number last seen in September 2014.

The average price of gas is also rising as it reached a national average of $3.61.
