Samantha Byrd joined KYMA in February 2022 as a multimedia journalist. She was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona. She is now the morning anchor/producer for News 11 and Fox 9.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University in December 2021 with a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Fashion.

She has a passion for covering agriculture, immigration and border issues. She enjoys discovering stories, shedding light on important issues and showcasing them in a creative way. In her free time she likes to go to the beach, go shopping, and do yoga.
