Two Somerton residents arrested for nearly $100,000 worth of drugs for sale
SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Two Somerton residents are facing a slew of charges after their house was found with several pounds of dangerous drugs.
35-year-old Erika Quinonez and 38-year-old David Hernandez were put behind bars Thursday.
A K-9 found 4.5 pounds of meth and 1.5 pounds of fake pills containing fentanyl, according to the Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO).
Combined, the drugs have a street value of nearly $100,000.Â
The Yuma County Narcotics Task Force which includes a number of federal and local agencies along with YCSO, served the narcotics search warrant Thursday morning.
Both suspects are facing 15 charges including dangerous drugs for sale, endangerment involving juveniles, tampering with evidence and owning a firearm by a prohibited person.Â
