Top 10 most dangerous Arizona cities

(KYMA, KECY, KSWT)- If you are planning on a big move to the state of Arizona, crime statistics are crucial before deciding where to settle down.

Travel website "Only in your State" complied a list of the top ten most dangerous Arizona cities for 2020, based on the latest FBI statistics.

1. Globe: This former mining town used to be safe, but nefarious activity has been on the rise since 2017. Moving up from its #2 spot last year, Globe is now the most dangerous city in Arizona. You have a 2% chance of being the victim of a violent offense; 7.5% for property crime.
2. Tolleson: Tolleson topped the list last year, and it still surpasses Globe in terms of property crime - one in 10.9 residents are victims. Violent crime, however, has subsided as of late, with only 835 incidents per 100,000 people.
3. Page: Our beloved Page, home to so many iconic natural wonders, is in third place. There's a one in 95 chance of being victimized by a violent criminal and 5% for property crimes. The silver lining is that the violent crime rate has fallen a whopping 44% in the last couple of years, with property crime dropping as well.
4. Winslow: Though one of the most charming towns along Route 66, Winslow also happens to be the 4th most dangerous city in Arizona. For every 100,000 residents, there are just over 4,000 property crimes - but the rate is down 33% from last year. Violent crime has also been falling steadily, and there's currently a one in 98 chance of being victimized.
5. Tucson: With Tucson being the second-largest city in Arizona, its 5th place ranking is somewhat of a surprise. Violent crime is slowly dwindling, with just 736 per every 100,000 people, and you have a one in 20.2 chance of falling victim to property crime.
6. Tempe: Coming in at #6, Tempe climbed up four spots on the list this year due to the violent crime rate increasing. One out of every 206 residents was attacked last year, but property crime has decreased markedly.
7. Show Low: Show Low's rank is a tad misleading because violent crime has risen 35% over the past couple years, with a one in 85 chance currently. In fact, despite being #7, the city has the third-worst violent crime statistics in the state. Property crime, however, is incredibly low, with a mere 0.5% chance of being victimized.
8. Phoenix: Arizona's capital and largest city is relatively safe, coming in at #8 despite a population of nearly two million. Residents have a one in 136 chance of experiencing a rape, murder, or assault; one in 29 for theft or arson.
9. Glendale: Glendale comes in right behind Phoenix, which isn't surprising since it's the closest neighboring city. Both categories of crime have been steadily decreasing, with a 24.5% chance for property crime and 0.5% for violent offenses.
10. Kingman: Rounding out the list is Kingman, ranking three spots lower than its #7 finish last year. Overall, residents have a one in 23.5% chance of being the victim of any crime.
