Yuma nurse practitioners are 7th highest paid in the U.S.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY, KSWT)- Forbes magazine ranked Yuma the seventh highest paying city for nurse practitioner salaries.
Once again using occupational and salary data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for registered nurse practitioners, they broke down mean annual wages by the metro area, which is the smallest geographical unit the BLS tracks for wages.
In the article, Forbes reported that nurse practitioners in Yuma earn an average of $142,650 a year, or $68.58 an hour.
The magazine explained that it came up with the figures using occupational and salary data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics for registered nurse practitioners…
According to Forbes, as with many other occupations, California cities make up much of the list of the top-paying cities for nurse practitioners.
However, there is a great geographical variety. Forbes said cities like Yuma, Arizona and Springfield, Ohio are a bit unexpected.Â
