Trucker killed when load of steel shifts east of San Diego

EL CAJON, Calif. (AP) — A trucker was killed in eastern San Diego County when his load of steel shifted and impaled him. The San Diego Union-Tribune says the incident occurred Tuesday afternoon on Interstate 8 east of El Cajon The California Highway Patrol says the load of steel was on a flatbed trailer and slammed forward through the cab when the driver braked. The driver was not immediately identified.
