Lane restrictions scheduled on State Route 85 near Gila Bend

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- Drivers, be advised of lane restrictions on State Route 85 near Gila Bend beginning in January.

The Arizona Department of Transportation stated that maintenance crews are scheduled to work on multiple pavement projects on highways across the state.

The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Monday, January 6 and ending Tuesday, January 14.

  • SR 85 will be narrowed to one lane in both directions between mileposts 130 and 138.
  • Motorists should anticipate a 3-mile lane restriction while crews progress through the work zone.
  • A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph.
