City of Yuma Fire Department

Valuable tool graciously donated

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Yuma Fire Department (YFD) has recently received a donation of a Heart Monitor Trainer from Amanda Aguirre and the Regional Center for Border Health, Inc.

The fire department expresses their gratitude for the trainer, which is valued at nearly $10,000, as it's a necessary tool for paramedics to train with.

YFD personnel put the trainer into service immediately and used it in a variety of scenarios.

Fire Chief Steve Irr and Training Captain Ryan Johnson were thankful for Amanda Aguirre's donation and put on a demonstration for her.

“This device will greatly enhance our training capabilities and we are thankful for community partners like Amanda and the Regional Center for Border Health, who see a need and act on it” stated Chief Irr.
