Former President Trump endorses Paul Gosar after recent pushback
(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - One day after Congressman Paul Gosar was censured by the house, the Arizona Republican got an endorsement from former President Donald Trump.
In a statement, Trump praises Gosar for his stance on several issues, and his fight for the "under siege, second amendment."
The former President goes on to say Gosar has his "complete and total" endorsement.
On Wednesday two House Republicans joined all Democrats to pass a resolution to censure Gosar and strip his committee assignments.
The rebuke of Gosar was reaction to a photo-shopped anime video he posted on social media that appears to show Gosar killing Democratic Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and attacking President Joe Biden.
Gosar in a tweet on Thursday thanked former President Trump for his support.
