U.S. intel still yet to determine the origin of Covid-19

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN ) - A newly declassified U.S. intelligence report is offering details about how agencies assessed the origin of Covid-19.

The 17-page document fleshes out a summary released in August That says the investigation is inconclusive.

Four agencies surmise with low confidence that the virus jumped from animals to humans, while one suggests with moderate confidence it might have come from a lab.

Sources say that lone agency is the FBI, but officials have not confirmed that.

According to the report, the lab theory is based on academic articles from Wuhan Institute of Virology employees and their writing suggests institute scientists have researched other Coronaviruses with inadequate safety measures.

The report says the origin of Covid-19 is likely to remain a mystery unless China is more forthcoming with information.
