YFD to hold recognition event for Fire Prevention Week

Firefighter and others to be awarded

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of Yuma Fire Department Station #1 is hosting a ceremony on Oct. 4 for National Prevention Week.

The event will be held on 353 South 3rd Avenue at 6:00 p.m.

Mayor Douglas J. Nicholls will be reading a proclamation about Fire Prevent Week and will give recognition to those in the City of Yuma Fire Department.

A Firefighter, Fire Engineer, Fire Officer, and Support Person of the Year award will be given.

Other awards and badges will be granted as well.
