Sex offenders in Yuma County
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO) is encouraging residents to make sure they research their new neighborhood to make sure they’re not moving next to a sex offender.
In the State of Arizona, there are more than four-thousand level one and level two sex offenders and more than 25 hundred level three sex offenders. That totals more than 10 thousand in Arizona. Here in Yuma County, there are 287 active offenders and 269 inactive offenders, according to YCSO.
“That’s people who are incarcerated, that are out of the area like winter visitors, deceased people,” said Alfonso Zavala, Public Information Officer for YCSO.
