Over a thousand APS customers without power overnight

More than 1,400 APS customers are experiencing a power outage overnight in Yuma County.

Arizona Public Service reported the power outages at 2:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, citing service interruptions to major power lines.

Those affected by the power outage include:

13th Street to 24th Street 8th Avenue to Maple Avenue APS’ outage map also shows a power outage near Smith Way to County 16th Street and U.S. Highway 95 to Avenue A. About 86 customers are affected.

APS said a pole was damaged due to a vehicle, and crews are currently repairing.

APS says they are working to restore power around 6:35 this morning and currently are troubleshooting.
