Widow of man killed on Christmas Eve asks Judge not to release driver
The man accused of killing a father after crashing into him on Christmas Eve appeared in court Thursday morning.
Marco Bustamante’s wife asked the judge not to release Brian Silva, 21, calling him a murderer.
“He might flee to Mexico. He’s a danger to the community. He murdered my husband driving by making that choice knowing well that he was intoxicated,” said Bustamante’s widow.
The judge kept Silva’s bond at $100,000 cash only.
Silva’s lawyer said they will enter a not guilty plea.
He will be back in court in January.
