Yuma man accused of exchanging nude photos with 13-year-old-girl

A Yuma man is now behind bars on 19 sex-crime related charges, according to the Yuma Police Department.

Yuma Police arrested Kevin Alvarez, 32, for allegedly sending and receiving nude pictures from a 13-year-old girl, according to Sergeant Lori Franklin, YPD.

YPD arrested Alvarez Wednesday night after they received a tip from the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, a group they are a member of.

Inside the Yuma Justice courtroom Thursday afternoon, Judge Stewart read the long list of charges against Alvarez.

The state asked for a $1 million bond to protect the victim.

The victim’s advocate stated they agreed and they feared the victim would flee with Alvarez if he were to be released.
Alvarez is being held on a $1 million cash-only bond until his next court appearance.
