Pet Talk: Meet Bonnie and Darla
Bonnie is a shy, yet playful cat that is longing to find her forever human. She warms up quickly. She arrived at the shelter in November after being found in a neighbors garage. She has a beautiful gray coat and a curious disposition. Bonnie’s age is unknown, but she’s a very small cat at just six pounds. She is also litter box trained and seems to get along with other cats. Make sure to visit her this week as she could be the perfect holiday gift.
Next is this black and white American Bulldog mix named Darla. She got her name from the old series “The Little Rascals” due to her black spots around her eyes. Darla was brought to the shelter in September by the Quechuan tribe. She is very well mannered and loves attention. She is definitely more of a, ‘let’s watch TV’ kind of dog than a ‘let’s go hiking.’ She does enjoy going for walks and likes to play with toys. She is estimated to be around four-years-old and weighs 56 pounds. She does well with dogs her size or larger and is extremely treats motivated.
If you are interested either Bonnie or Darla, you can call the Humane Society of Yuma at (928) 782-1621. They are open Tuesday through Sunday. Head to Madison Kimbro’s Facebook page for more information.
