Old Souls Animal Rescue and Yuma Jaycees Fundrasier

Old Souls Animal Rescue and Retirement Home and the Yuma Jaycees are throwing two events this weekend.

“Friday night we have a pre-holiday, fun day, ‘Old Souls’ volunteer appreciation day so we are combining them all into one. We are going to have an ugly sweater contest, a cookie bar, a cookie exchange, s’mores and a bonfire. On Saturday night we are having a Jackets and Jewelry fashion show fundraiser and of course that’s going to help all the geriatric, specials needs and hospice animals here at ‘Old Souls’ as well as help us move to our new location that’s located right behind the Yuma Jaycees Clubhouse,” said Paula Rivadeneira, owners of ‘Old Souls Animal Rescue and Retirement Home.’

The proceeds will also help the ‘Yuma Jaycees’ as they continue to do more community outreach among the youth.

The volunteer appreciation day starts Friday at 5pm to 8pm and the Jackets and Jewelry Fashion Show Fundraiser will be from 3pm to 7pm. Both events will be held at the Yuma Jaycees Clubhouse. The Jackets were hand-painted by a local artist, along with jewelry that has been donated by a local boutique.

$5 entry (free for Old Souls volunteers) for the Volunteer Appreciation event on Friday.

$5 entry in advance and $8 at the door, which gets you a slice of pizza, a drink, and a seat along the fashion runway on Saturday.
