Share Your Holiday Turkey Drive is back!

UPDATE (10:31 p.m.)

We would like to thank the community for contributing to our Turkey Drive this year. We collected 896 turkeys along with cash donations and more than 20,000 pounds of canned food!

UPDATE (6:21 p.m.)

A total of 748 turkeys have been collected as of 6:21 p.m. Friday. There is still time to stop by at both Walmart locations where our news team is collecting donations. We will be there until 10 p.m.

UPDATE (5:02 p.m.)

A total of 665 turkeys have been collected as of 5:02 p.m. Friday. We will be at both Walmart locations until 10 p.m. Friday. Make a difference and stop by with a donation.

UPDATE (4:05 p.m.)

We have now collected a total of 550 turkeys as of 4:05 p.m. Friday.

UPDATE (3:05 p.m.)

The KYMA news team along with Crossroads Mission have collected a total of 505 turkeys as of 3:08 p.m. Friday. Make sure to stop by and donate to a great cause.

UPDATE (1:37 p.m.)

As of now, News 11 has counted: 438 turkeys!

The Share Your Holiday Turkey Drive takes off at 6 a.m. Friday and we hope you can contribute to the cause.

The KYMA news team will be at two locations Friday until 10 p.m. We will be accepting turkeys, cash, and all non-perishable food items.

We want to reach our goal of 1,000 turkeys to benefit the Crossroads Mission and hope to see you at the following locations:

Walmart located at 2900 South Pacific Avenue Walmart located at 8151 East 32nd Street in the Foothills area If you are looking for stores where you can purchase turkeys, here are some local stores you can visit:

Albertsons: 79 cents per pound or free if you purchase $150 worth of groceries

Walmart: 68 cents per pound

Fry’s: 69 cents per pound. If you buy a ham, you get a free 16-pound turkey

Food City: $1.49 per pound and 69 cents per pound when you buy $25 dollars worth of groceries or more

Sprouts: Natural $1.29 per pound and organic $1.99 per pound
