Man charged with attempted first degree murder after incident in May appears in court
The man facing charges of attempted first-degree murder after a shooting that left two people wounded in May appeared in court Wednesday.
Twenty-six-year-old Armando Montano Jr.’s lawyer asked for more time on this case because the state has yet to make an offer.
Montano will appear in court in December for a change of plea.

The two suspects arrested after the shooting of a man and woman in Yuma pleaded not guilty to the crime in Yuma County Superior Court Monday.
Armando Montaño Jr., 26, faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and criminal damage.
The public defender representing Montaño requested Judge David M. Haws for a condition of release.
The second suspect, Daniel Muñoz, 33, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and criminal damage.
These charges stem from a shooting on May 23 in the area of the 2000 block of S. Avenue A at approximately 12:02 p.m., according to Yuma police.
An investigation revealed that later that day at around 1:30 p.m. one of the suspect vehicles was located in Somerton, Ariz. YPD’s Special Enforcement Team was deployed to the area of Somerton Avenue and Fulton Street to investigate the area.
Two two victims were taken to the Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. According to YPD there were three vehicles involved in the incident.
