Arizona’s U.S. Senate race remains close battle

The race for the first female U.S. Senator to represent Arizona remains a close battle. In Arizona Representative Martha McSally (R) leads by 49.34 percent. Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) is close behind with 48.42 percent of the vote. Sinema is only behind by about 16,000 votes.

Arizona has gained national attention in its race for the next U.S. Senator. Republican candidate Martha McSally and Democratic candidate Kyrsten Sinema are vying for the seat of retiring U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake. The outcome will determine the first female senator to represent Arizona.
The latest poll from OH Predictive Insights and ABC 15 Arizona shows Rep. McSally has a one-point lead with 49 percent of the votes over Congresswoman Sinema days before the election.
The survey was conducted between November 2 and November 3, sampling 631 likely voters throughout the state.
According to a poll by CNN on October 31, U.S. Senate nominee Sinema held a four-point lead over Rep. McSally. However, the lead was within the survey’s margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 points.
Rep. McSally has been serving as the congresswoman for Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District. Congresswomen Sinema has been serving as the U.S. Representative for Arizona’s 9th Congressional District.
