Two men found fatally shot near California highway
Two men were found fatally shot inside a car with its windows shot out near a central California highway.
The Modesto Bee reports drivers were calling 911 to report a vehicle with shot out windows around 2 a.m. on Thursday as they exited Highway 99 in Turlock. The car was found on a road right off the highway.
Turlock Police Department spokesman Sgt. Russ Holeman says the two men in vehicle were likely in their mid-20s. Their names have not yet been released.
Holeman says police haven’t determined a motive. He wouldn’t say if there was a weapon in the vehicle or an apparent exchange of gun fire .
Turlock is located in the Central Valley just south of Modesto.
