I-8 ramp closures expected for Wednesday

The Arizona Department of Transportation is warning drivers of upcoming ramp closures on eastbound Interstate 8 near Araby Road on Wednesday beginning at 6 a.m.

According to ADOT, crews will pave both eastbound on and off-ramps of the I-8 and Araby Road traffic interchange improvement project.

From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., both eastbound I-8 on and off-ramps at Araby Road (Exit 7) will be closed. Araby Road will remain reduced to one lane in both directions between 30th and 26th streets through fall 2018.

Officials are suggesting alternate routes that include Avenue 8 1/2 E, Avenue 3E and 32nd Street. For more information about the I-8 and Araby Road traffic interchange project, click here.
