Missing person found dead

UPDATE:

YCSO said Joe Richey was found deceased in the 10300 block of South Tornado Avenue on Sunday, July 29.

There were no signs of foul play and the next of kin has been notified.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office is searching for 76-year-old Joe Patrick Richey, who was reported missing on Friday, July 27.

YCSO received a report of missing person at around 4 p.m.

Deputies spoke to the reporting party who stated that the missing person was last seen on Friday, July 27, between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. at his home on Typhoon Avenue.

Mr. Richey is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall, approximately 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing a floral shirt, black shorts, blue cap and sandals and was driving a white 1995 Jeep Wrangler with Arizona License plate number AYG3074.

Mr. Richey left his home without his medication and suffers from multiple medical conditions.
