Back to school rodeo provides resources for kids getting ready to go back to school

The seventh annual Back to School Rodeo brought approximately 4,000 parents and children to the Yuma Civic Center on Saturday.

The Back to School Rodeo provided multiple resources to get kids ready to go back to school.

From 8 A.M. to 12 P.M., kids in grades pre-k through 8th had a space to gather school supplies, arts and crafts, and door prizes.

Parents had access to health and social services through various presentations, booths, and displays.

Local schools had representatives on hand to answer any questions parents may have about the upcoming school year.

After school programs also had representatives to provide an easy way for parents to sign up their kids for extracurricular activities.

Free health and vision screenings were provided and the first 1,400 children received a free backpack.
