Power outage affecting thousands of APS customers

UPDATE (5:15 a.m): The APS Outage Map shows that power has been restored to customers in the area of County 15th Street to Orchid St. and Avenue G to Fortuna Avenue.

73 APS customers in the area of 24th St. to 32nd St. and Avenue A to Mary Ave. are still without power.

Over 1,100 APS customers are still without power in the area of 1st Street to 14th Street and Avenue A to Main Street.

More than 5,000 APS customers are waking up without power across the City of Yuma.

Arizona Public Service reported power outages as early as 12:54 a.m. Monday morning as service interruptions to major power lines.

Those affected by the power outage include:

– County 15th Street to Orchid St. and Avenue G to Fortuna Avenue

– 1st Street to 14th Street and Avenue A to Main Street

– 24th Street to 32nd Street and Avenue A to Mary Avenue

APS says they are working to restore power between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m. and currently are troubleshooting.
