Authorities seek men who attempted to lure ten-year-old boy inside van

Authorities are seeking two men who attempted to lure a ten-year-old boy inside their vehicle on Tuesday at around 4:30 p.m.

Yuma Police said the boy was contacted by two men in an older black van at the 2600 block of South 34th Avenue. The men told the boy his parents had asked them to pick him up and take him home. The boy refused to enter the van and left the area on foot.

The men were described to be wearing black ski masks who spoke English. No further description was provided. The black older van is described with no windows, unknown make, model, and license plate.

No injuries were reported and no physical contact was made between the men and the boy. The boy did not know the suspects.

An investigation is currently underway.
