‘First Thing First’ prepares the future generation

The Arizona Public Broadcast Service and Yuma’s ‘First thing First’ teamed up to help local educators get the latest in early childhood development.

For the majority of the day educators, social workers and even foster parents were given the opportunity to learn about the latest techniques in educating young minds.

Participants had the opportunity to speak to a variety of support agencies and take part in breakaway sessions. According to Mark Becker with Arizona PBS, a child’s first years are crucial when it comes to learning and events like this are crucial to help them get the best start in life.
