Motorcycle collision leads to one dead on Interstate 8

UPDATE

Authorities have confirmed one person is dead following a motorcycle collision on Interstate 8 near Dateland, Ariz.

The collision happened at 3:10 p.m. when a motorcycle collided with an ambulance. The rider of the motorcycle has been confirmed dead. Troopers have closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 8 at the milepost 67 to conduct an investigation.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, westbound lanes of Interstate 8 near Dateland, Ariz. are closed because of a crash. Eastbound lanes are unaffected.
